Are You a PMU Brow Candidate?

Permanent Makeup (PMU) is not for everyone. For your safety and best results, certain conditions and circumstances may prevent you from receiving brow tattoo services.

PMU Brows are not recommended for clients who:

• Are pregnant or nursing

• Are currently taking blood thinners

• Are sick with any viral infection (including colds, flu, or COVID-19)

• Have taken Accutane within the past year

• Have an autoimmune disease or chronic skin condition affecting the face (e.g., eczema, psoriasis, lupus)

• Have active acne, pimples, or lesions in the brow or forehead area

• Have acne-prone skin specifically around the brow/forehead (as it may not retain pigment well)

• Are currently using or have recently used skin bleaching products (e.g., hydroquinone)

• Are undergoing cancer treatment (including chemotherapy or radiation therapy)

PMU Ombré Brows FAQs

1. What are Ombré Brows?

Ombré Brows, also known as Powder Brows, are a semi-permanent makeup technique that creates a soft-shaded brow pencil look. The brows have a gradient effect—lighter at the front and darker at the tail.

2. How long do Ombré Brows last?

Typically, they last 1 to 3 years, depending on your skin type, lifestyle, and aftercare. Touch-ups help maintain the desired shape and intensity.

3. Who is a good candidate for Ombré Brows?

Ombré Brows work well for all skin types, including oily or mature skin. They’re great for anyone who wants a fuller, more defined brow.

4. Does it hurt?

Most clients report minimal discomfort. A topical numbing cream is applied before and during the procedure to keep you comfortable.

5. What’s the healing process like?

Initial healing takes 7-14 days. Expect mild scabbing, flaking, and fading. Full results are visible after 4-6 weeks when the skin is fully healed.

6. Is a touch-up necessary?

Yes, a perfecting session is required 6-8 weeks after the initial procedure to refine the shape and color.

7. How should I prepare for my appointment?

Avoid caffeine, alcohol, blood thinners, retinol, and any brow grooming (waxing, tweezing, tinting) for at least 48 hours before your appointment.

8. Can I still wear makeup on my brows after?

Once fully healed, yes. But many clients find they don’t need to anymore!

9. Are Ombré Brows safe?

Absolutely—when performed by a trained, certified professional using sterile equipment and high-quality pigments.

10. Will they fade to a weird color over time?

Proper pigment selection and aftercare prevent that. They fade naturally over time and can be refreshed as needed.
